Your Data
Your records belong to you. Modutrack gives you self-service tools to take your data with you — and to erase it.
Exporting your data
Open Settings → Data & privacy and choose Export. Your browser downloads a single
JSON file named modutrack-export-YYYY-MM-DD.json containing everything in the active
account:
| Key | Contents |
|---|---|
assets | All assets with their purchase and usage details |
components | All components, including spares and retired parts |
serviceLogs | Every service event with costs and notes |
componentMoves | The full install/removal history |
maintenanceSchedules | Your maintenance schedules |
lookups | Custom dropdown values you've added |
The file also records formatVersion (currently 1), the export timestamp, and which
account it came from. Full fidelity JSON — every field as stored, so it's readable by any
tool and suitable as a backup.
A few details worth knowing:
- The export covers the active account. If you belong to several accounts, switch accounts and export each one.
- Any member of a shared account can export it — the same data they can already see in the app.
- Deleted records aren't included; the export reflects the data as you see it.
Deleting your account
See Settings → Data & privacy for account deletion. Deletion is permanent and removes your sign-in along with your personal account's data — see the Privacy Policy for the full description of what is erased and what is retained in shared accounts you contributed to.
