Search, Filters & Reports
As your collection grows, the basic lists get long. Modutrack gives you three tools to keep the data useful: advanced filters, saved searches, and reports.
Advanced filters
The Components list and the Service Log both have a Filters button next to the search box. It opens a panel of extra criteria you can combine freely with the search box and the quick chips:
| Page | Filters |
|---|---|
| Components | Brand, owning asset (or Unassigned), purchase-price range |
| Service Log | Asset, service date range, cost range |
All active filters apply together — for example spare + brand Shimano + price under $50 shows only the spare Shimano parts in that price bracket. The count badge on the Filters button shows how many advanced criteria are active, and Clear all resets everything.
Shareable by design. The full filter state lives in the page URL, so you can bookmark a filtered view or paste the link to another member of a shared account — they'll see the same criteria applied to their view of the data.
Saved searches
Once you've built a filter combination you'll want again, open the Saved menu and choose Save current filters…, give it a name, and it appears in the menu from then on. Picking a saved search re-applies its filters instantly; the trash icon next to each entry deletes it.
Saved searches are personal: each member of a shared account keeps their own list, and each list belongs to the page it was saved on (component searches don't appear on the Service Log, and vice versa).
Reports
The Reports page (in the main navigation) summarises your spend and service activity:
- Spend by month — the last 12 months of asset purchases, component purchases, and service costs, stacked so you can see what drove each month's total. Asset spend is bucketed by purchase date, component spend by install date, and service spend by service date.
- Services by type — how many times each service type has been performed and what it has cost in total, across all time.
Reports always cover the active account, so switching accounts switches the numbers.
